Well, had a bad start when we arrived at our chosen spot, layed 8 nets in with the ferret and out pops bunny only to roll back out the purse net.

Thank god the bad luck did not last long, as the wind picked up, but, thankfully the showers stayed away. :D

I had doubts of the bunnys bolting with the wind, but i was pleasently surpirsed rong.

Amazing how many will fit into small bury, got 4 out of a 1 holer :laugh:

Had a lunch break in an old derilict house from the wind, wondering about the folks who use to occupie it, then back to work and ended the day with 16 nice plump bunnys :drink:

Wish all ferreting days were like this.

As for all the young bunnys that have been poping up around the country ect, we came across none, not even a pregnant doe, but prehaps i spoke too soon. Might be a different story next time out. ;)

Pics below. :)

Cheers all. :D

BEAGLES, yes, they seem to do the trick. ;)

JIGSAW, we started at around 8:15 am and finished up at 3pm, had lunch at 1pm for 1/2 hour, if we had the man power and some long nets and time, we would be getting 50-60 everytime we went.

The weather has been absalutely SHITE, this season to say the least, all my shooting and hunting has been effected badly, hope next season is better. :)

Still, all part of the madnes as you say jigsaw. :D;)

THE FEZZ, it all depends where you are, as long as yourout and about working the dogs and ferts, thats the main thing. :) i would still have enjoyed the craic, if we only got nothing.

Thanks,

Frank.

Its not as good as years past frankie  , mxy, crazy prelonged rain, seems to have taken their toll this year.

The area we were in in that picture, is the highest place for rabbits we go to, still better years ago. Other places have been nearly wiped out this year, for some reason or other, a bad year indeed.
