fazza123 517
Just wondering how many people think it makes a difference to a dogs prey drive ie pre ban tackle if your dog lives in the house or brought up in the kennel ? I know breeding makes a big difference but does the above ? Quote Link to post

bird 9,968
dont matter if there in or out, if its in them its in them spot on , mine live outside which is better i think. They have heat lamps for when its really cold, and i think they like they own space, mine in separate kennels plus your house will be cleaner+smell better more so when they been rolling in cow shit Quote Link to post
fazza123 517
Haha oh I've got a kennel with a heat lamp in for such occasions !! Lol ! Quote Link to post
ferrety f 23
I dont think you can spoil a working dogs ability by keeping it in the house.. once its in the field that switch flicks on.. bam ! might make them a bit soft to the cold though Quote Link to post
lurcherman 28
Mine are outside but as said " if its in them its in them" also if there in the house they might feel the cold abit more, IMHO the bit about the mrs spoiling her is the worst part about a dog been in the house, nowt worse that getting home from work after planning a big night out and the mrs as fed the dog coz ( she thought it was hungry) Quote Link to post
casper565 0
has she settled ok or been keeping you up lol her mum and grandad were fetched up in the house its never stopped them tackling owt Quote Link to post
bull scooby 4
get them out side house is for humans kennels for dogs plus you could end up with a pappy dog that dosent like the cold and profurs to sit on the sofa getting its belly tickled Quote Link to post
Dan Edwards 1,134
Dont know what it does to prey drive but my dogs couldnt handle what we do if they were housedogs. They live out in their kennels in their dog house. They got straw in there for them to lay down in but no heat lamps or anything else. A house dog would never make it with me cuz they couldnt handle the hunting we do. Quote Link to post
pipi 15
Don't do them any harm mate mine in the house all the time but like someone has said they feel the cold more when you take them out.On a cold nite lamping he has jumped out of the back of van and jumped strait back in again lol.But he shit anyhow Quote Link to post
