gurtwurz 792
hiya folks, its that time of the year to renew my insurance, so i've been looking at a couple of options. i'm currently with BASC but theyre quite pricey, and as i dont use firearms (of my own, anyway) i was thinking of either going with BASA or the countryside alliance. anyone use either of these, and if so, ae they any good?! all advice gratefully received, as ever cheers, wurz Quote Link to post

rossi_j 99
I have never had any insurance, am going to start with b.a.s.a, maybe upgrade to b.a.s.c on geting a sgc (hopefully). I am getting the insurance mainly because I am getting older and more sensible (contravene to popular belief) and hopefully add a little weight when seeking permission. Also its there should the wost happen 17.95 a year is not a lot for me and im broke, I think its cheap for having a security blanket when out shooting, if accidental damage did occur you probably wouldent face that mutch critisim having explaned the situation and being coverd (ofcourse immidiate p!ss taking will occur lol) Basc do seem to be the best for legal advice tho, anyone know what b.a.s.a are like for advice/helpfullness? .atb. .ste. ghillies 209
try country side aliance..they do monthlies, or third party for unimployed etc if you ring, but, they are a 10 mil coverage, is BASA still only 5? or was that BASC?.. eather way its taking more than 5 mill to sort a claim nowadays aparently, dont know from exsperience like, but private firms need a ten mil cover to allow you to shoot..again that bits only second hand info. My mate is having the same prob just now. Went with the SGA for 35 quid and they are superb. ATB Quote Link to post
