Guest foxtrack
Foxtrack we were hunting cover a few years ago when the hounds took off they started to marks in an peat bank very soft digging and shallow probabley a scout hole didnt need a terrier followed the hole back until we reached a colly cross terrier dog . Found out this dog had been causeing alot of trouble around that area and had been running wild for 2-3 months whot did the hounds make of the dog Quote Link to post

Guest foxtrack
I have no problem believing ye mate. But didn't you ~ just for the fleeting millisecond ~ want to scream like a girl, as the earth gave way and there were these freaky foxes? So, anyway; What did the Bitches owner do then? Learn his lesson and keep a bloody eye on her in future? I mean, she must have been going off for some considerable time there. Both to wreak havoc amongst his neighbours 'stock and to suckle those pups. dont know whot happend to the bitch she was 1 of about 16 dogs that ran wild there even the post man wouldent go there but the pup my mate had became one of the best car coursing dogs in south wales Quote Link to post
Guest REDROB
maybe 15 20years back it was on tv about a little terrier type going to ground with food for pups, it was filmed when they dug out the pups. Quote Link to post
dEs 6
maybe 15 20years back it was on tv about a little terrier type going to ground with food for pups, it was filmed when they dug out the pups. My mate was telling me that a lad we sometimes hunt with had a terrier whelp in an earth. She came back for food everyday and then took off and it took him a while to find the exact hole she was in, but he got the bitch and pups. Just to add the pup he kept back travelled the first earth it ever seen....... linked? Dunno. We got onto this as we've a young dog here who won't travel for feck all at the moment.. I wouldn't doubt your story mate.. somethings have to be seen to be believed. Quote Link to post
Great White Hunter 78
Stevo its not shit talk dont belive me Doesnt make a difference to me . The Hounds Hunted it to the hole marked it we found a collie cross . Maybe the hounds where fresh and just hunted the sent in front of them . When we did get the collie out it was wild as hell . But the hounds were still worked up and might have laid into it only for us being there Strange but true Stevo its not shit talk dont belive me Doesnt make a difference to me . Wilky 0
Heard of someone digging to a whippet with pups, but he was a strange old fella staffy-1 If that's Rammo from Dewsbury you're talking about, I can tell you that's a true one, but they couldn't get a terrier to back the whippet it up, they had to trench on to dig to them, the whippet was firing the terriers back out, they didn't know it was a whippet that was besting the terriers until they dug on and when they did realise what it was, the daft fuckers were falling out amongst themselves who was having the bitch, but you're right he just is a rum c**t, they don't come any dafter. That will have been about '82 Quote Link to post
