FERRETBOY 680
me my dad and world.hunters of here decided we will go lamping but the weather was not the best with no rain but also no wind .we set of down the field spotted a rabbit 30 40 yrds out from the hedge we were standing at, so we slipped bramble and off she went down the beam towards the coney but this rabbit wasnt playing the cards straight and flew at a 45 degree angle towards us hitting the hedge with no intensions of stopping leaving bramble a couple of yards behind.bramble has been under the weather this last week so hadnt been out much so i wasnt so bothered with our first miss.we didnt get another run untill we reached the other end of our hunting grounds,we wasnt surprised as there was no wind at all to hide any noise we made.the next rabbit we ran was one of the best courses i have ever saw on lamp with the rabbit jinking under and around and through thick bushes with bramble close behind pushing it back out onto the flat ground, this seemed to last for a life time but probably only 20 seconds untill she struck for the last time pinning it to the ground .i legged the rabbit and hung it on the homemade game carrier i made out of brambles lead lol.the next rabbit we spotted was 20 or so yards away .it was squatting flat to the ground,we were a couple of yards away before it sped of with bramble putting in a few strikes, bramble had now started to show tiredness and this rabbit straight lined her to the furthest hedge 50 or so yards away (cant wait for my grew).we had a few little runs but to no success and when we had reached were we had started off we saw another squatting rabbit,my dad closed in with the lamp keeping it high with a perfect spot on the rabbit and bramble made her way down the beam between the rabbit and hedge the rabbit made a run for it but bramble hung back and struck perfectley number 2 was in the bag.to end the night we watched a barn owl hunt a rabbit with the aid of our lamp lol.all in all not a bad night considering the weather. good hunting rew Quote Link to post
