scothunter 12,609 Posted January 12, 2011 Report Share Posted January 12, 2011 wztch it ,what a joke our country is agreed but can someone explain how the fisherys justify it?i mean there must be a reason well according to them. they interviewd the fisherys minister and he said that there looking at changing it in 2012 then hugh tested him with about 12 diferent fish and he could only name one or two it was a f*****g joke i couldnt belive how much fish they disguard its f*****g madness if there killing them they may as well bring them in and sell em / use em something thanks.yea id say if there on board then use them.if they dont want them catching fish to preserve the stock then why not just pay the fishermen not to fish so much.same as farmers get cash for not growing crops.i noticed there another one with gordon ramsey comming on.its in japan i think.now im no anti but those japs are a wicked lot.seen a programme once where they were slaughtering dolphins absouletley disgusting.they were driving down the roads in pickups with dolphims flapping about on the back. Millions are starving throughout the world, homeless and elderly here in the uk need food land it and give it to the soup kitchens etc instead of binning it! Like hugh said last night there would be uproar if half a farmers cattle/sheep were slaughtered and dumped in the road/field to rot! If a trawlerman is only allowed to catch a certain quota per day and he goes over that quota then he shouldn,t be allowed out of the harbour until that catch is used up, rather than throwing perfectly good healthy fish over the side. tango 221 Posted January 12, 2011 Report Share Posted January 12, 2011 fishermen have been shouting about these rules since they were brought in,but all they get was theres them fishermen crying again,no fisherman floating wants to dump fish.the rules dont help fish stocks one bit,irish boats cant fish the irish sea to save stocks but a french or spanish boat can come and fill their boots while the boats are tied up,its wrong all wrong,if a boat catches anything outside his target species he has to dump as bring it ashore he could loss his boat,fishing in the uk and ireland is finished it has been threw to the eu as a token for favours. :wallbash: Quote Link to post Share on other sites
