Tiny 7 1,694
I used too live behind Jeff in Wellinborough, Spoke too him a good few times there an at the local Castle Ashby Country Show, Well what i see/heard iam honestly sure its about MONEY, Why is it its a £100 dearer for a rough flat coat pup (As he calls them) than say just rough or broken coated..?? Likes been said theres always pups on the ground despite a 3 year waiting list so im told but no nothing about money, And what put the real iceing on the cake regarding Jeff and his dog was we where at the show above, And one of the lads we used too go out with had one about 17 month old the rough flat coated type i mentiond early, Anyway this dog jacket no end off times an would open up on hare day or night, Well Jeff come up too at the show and started talking about the dog ect ect, Anyway told him about the dog and that and he never really said nothing about it and started talkng about 200 year ago dogs ect ect, And honestly at the end of our conversation he goes into is shirt pocket (With about 6months dinner down it) and pulls out a little card with his number on it and gave it too the lad and say give me a ring as he wants too use the dog over one of his bitch back at home that will be due in about 8 weeks as the dog has wide shoulders( For agiltay on sweeping rabbits up or what ever), I heard enough that day too honstly say Jeffs nothing but a puppy peddler and only chaseing ££££..... All i say is they are alot better pups out there for a fraction of the price out of stock thats worked hard season after season IMHO 1 Quote Link to post

willow 53
as a few said just about the ££££££££££ but if these dogs do the job for each person that run them and keeps them good luck theres more puppy peddlers in this game all trying to make a buck but if you go and buy a pup and hand over your cash you take your chance every bredder has had dogs that ( jack ) out of there strains talk to any of the so call NAMES and they want to sell to you Quote Link to post
Tiny 7 1,694
And just before anyone says anything, Iam not impleyng that this breed/line/strain call it what you will are jackers, And i bet theres lads out there with some handy dogs just the same as there a few handy hancocks ect ect if you catch my drift, Its just what i seen/heard from the bloke himself i was not impressed.... 1 Quote Link to post
Skinny 29
The original Norfolk cross dog to come in to my local area was purchased from mick douglas around the early 90's does mick douglas have a good reputation my mate was over with Jeff Burrel and to be polite about it found him to be a strange individual. The norfolk type lurchers in my area are fairly decent animals and perform all round. I dont buy the mad theories of them being a pure bred strain from smithfield collies or what more a type bred by a few men who knew what they liked. There is something in it I think. x38 179
look top dogs what they like in the feild at there jobs Quote Link to post
Skinny 29
in the field the bitch is decent determined enough pace not dead hard with a fox but gets the job done smart and biddable and good with other dogs. The pup is only six months going to be a big dog. Quote Link to post
