mushroom 12,883
Out last night for a couple of hours with the son of a member off here, with jet 12 months and Trevor 7-8 months. Got there and the cold wind and rain was blowing..... perfect First run was Trevs and he missed the bugger but only just. Jet did the same on his first run.... well at least they warmed up Next run was Trev's bit of a course then bang picked up with a top strike. Jet took the next run had an amazing course but couldn't just pin it down in the open field then it beelined for the fence but jet was on it pushed it back out, few more turns and brer rabbit made it's final attempt at doing a born free lucky sod just sliped through the fence as he came belting up behind, he didn't look very happy Trev's turn next, rabbit in the middle of the field trev trots up just out of the beam, then boom greased lightening rabbit looks up with a look of WTF all over it's face few turns then strike first of the evening to Trev the next was Jet's this time he was a little more relaxed going in then bang and strike his first of the evening then he decided he fancied the head for himself and fuucked off, so the lad put him on the lead and punished him by letting him watch Trev for the next few runs. Without any bigging up Trev was on fire the next five were all accounted for by him two taken straight from their seat the other three from the course and strike. Now it was Jet's turn again rabbit bout 5-6 foot from the sheep fence, "A" slipped him onto it bit of a course then the rabbit managed to out turn jet and make straight for the fence fecker got through.... but wait there was screaming coming from somewhere near the dog thats just smashed into the fence The clever aarse has got hold of the rabbit through the fence  he's got a strand of the fence through his mouth like a bit and the rabbit on the other side Coming up to the end of the night both pups were keen as mustard still, but we decided as it was we'd double them up for the last run or two bang another rabbit accounted for and thanks to our lack of foresight ended up with it's belly hanging out never mind All in all a top night some really good training for the dogs, bit of crosshair callibration for their strikes and lots of lovely shiit and mud caking their coatts Well done pups all in all I rekon they caught 60% of their runs These piccies were taken elswhere if the photographer wants credit let me know Edited January 13, 2011 by mushroom Quote Link to post
