thurso jack 3
Tagged along with fletcher and his harris hawk today, we met up at about 10am was meant to be 9am but fletchers a bit fond of his bed sometimes Anyway after him fannying around for a while we were on the road and after 15 mins at the grounds we were going to fly, it was pretty breezy today so not the best conds for flying in, but we were hear anyway so off we went. Rabbits were few and far between today and those that were seen were hanging right into cover so we walked some rashes to see if we could flush anything, first park nothing but some nice flying off the fist hunting himself. next park he was off again hunting, then a cracking stoop and bang he was on, just as i had sparked a fag up threw fag away and we ran across the park and he was holding a rabbit. got him off and back on the fist ready again walked on and seen a few other rabbits and had a few more chases but nothng really that wasnt diving into gorse straight away, had a good swoop at a crow but he moved at the last moment. good day out just the one but we had to be home for lunchtime, heres a few more pics. AND SOME MORE and some more [ Edited January 14, 2007 by thurso jack Quote Link to post
Fletcher 0
Cheers for them Thurso, shame it was so windy. Couple of points I'd like to clarify, the bird tail feathers ain't as battered as they look they're just wet, when I phoned Thurso this morning HE was still in bed, I wasn't fannying around, I was preparing the bird for a days hunting and lastly how did your ferret get on this afternoon, I think you owe me a fiver. OK now for the truth, the birds feathers are that ruffled as when i called round this morning fletcher was still in his spiderman jim jams curled up next to the harris kissing it etc and i dont know what he was doing under the covers my ferret didnt get anything beacause your bloody cockatiel scared all the rabbits away!! great pics guys, but you say rabbits were few and far between, i think that first pic says it all.......... sean that was when we first arrived, as soon as that pic was taken they were off, as i say all close to gorse and away as soon as you see them, very few out and about. thurso jack 3
The reason your ferret got nothing is it spends too much time in your trousers. :secret: ok the truth now saying you forced me into it, me and the fert walked in on fletcher stuffing his bird this morning, the fert got such a fright she ran away, and i havent seen her since, i hope the poor wee mite is ok? even if i do find her i doubt she will ever be able to work again, she was only 2 years old Quote Link to post
