Dogs that take feather

Recommended Posts

I think it makes a refreshing change when our dogs take a bird or two. In last two days my deerhound cross has put a bird or two in the bag for the pot.

Still young, he is quite clever and will enter the thickest of cover if needed. Here is a few he had caught for me this morning during a fresh mornings walk on the farm. There are no shoots on this particular piece of land, but I see many pheasants roaming around on a regualar basis, so it's a nice little bonus when a bird is swiftly caught.

Some may be offended by using a dog to take a bird or two.
