stubby 175
Cant you just tie one on a lead and put it on a stake where you want it?? I am not, But im guessing if you keep it as a pet for a couple of weeks before, you'll be pretty intent on keeping it alive well, do yourself and us a favour, and check out the defra website, and LEARN THE LAW then, using a live animal as bait, wild or pet is totally illegal, then it'll save you looking like a muppet with the above posts Chill out son he was only have a laugh!!! his posts did'nt come across like a joke, was'ent only me that picked up on it, but had it been meant in humour, he could have pointed that out in his third reply couldent he its ok having humour, as long as its made clear, as stated nearly every week, NON HUNTING TYPES, plus ANTI'S regularly check these forums, are you saying we should give them more ammo against us and our sport/jobs, by all laughing and joking about using "live bait" Quote Link to post
Dan_Mercian 27
Haha, if it annoys you enough to search through all my previous posts/topics then by all means feel free to ring my FEO and give him my name, I'm sure he'd love to waste time chasing up something someone wrote on a forum on jest by someone that only shoots at clay discs BTW, the rabbit would be totally safe along as your on your game, if your shit and the rabbit gets eaten, you probably shouldn't be out 'controlling' anyway, prob best to put in some more range time eh? markha 99
by all means feel free to ring my FEO and give him my name, I'm sure he'd love to waste time chasing up something someone wrote on a forum on jest by someone that only shoots at clay discs Pal, I didnt understand half of what you typed!, But seriously it does only take a phonecall about a loony with a shotgun to get things moving very fast indeed, and if your username is your real name then anyone of us one here could take you at your word and simply ring up Derby firearms licensing on 01773 573725 and tell them we wish to make an anon complaint about a dan mercian who is quiet frankly a nutter and should not be in possession of any type of firearms! The police are very very twitchy about nutters with guns, and any police officer will not take any kind of comment about live baiting with rabbits as a joke. Or was your comment made in jest again? Dan_Mercian 27
That's not my name, my regiment, where 2000 people will happily stand up and say how competent I am with a firearm Edited January 13, 2011 by Dan_Mercian Quote Link to post
murphymax 9
...... foxes are interested in decoys because they are thinking of food.....so.....cut to the chase and just use some good bait.....the smell will attract them more than the decoy I imagine. Cut open a rabbit, try a tin of cheap sardines.tuna or liver.....the more it stinks the better. Do you agree murphymax? smell works as you have proved, but movement keeps them focused on the lure,so lss chance of him sptting you, remember foxes have built in night vision, decoys are more of a daylight job. markha 99
That's not my name, my regiment, where 2000 people will happily stand up and say how competent I am with a firearm Oh here we go, maybe your a bloody 'walt' as those on here know, I hate bloody walts, so wind your neck in and stop diggin a hole, what a stupid immature comment " my regiment, where 2000 people will happily-" - jesus pal you sound like something from the script of that film '300'. Im ex forces too, and so are a load of lads on here, and they dont use their unit/reg in their user names, you know why? probably because they are not soft in the head pal, or arent a walt. Yea and while Im ranting a little, I was in a very large regiment, and I didnt know 2000 that would say, hey he is a good shot, cos hes in the same regiment as us, balls pal, life doesnt work like that in the forces, only those you work with daily know you and that my friend aint 2000 people is it. So if your just another immature walt, what the hell, your a waste of space and dishonour all real serving/ex service men and women. If you were in the Mercians then Im sure if they all read your childish comments a fair few of those 2000 people would be shaking their heads and saying one word in unison - NOB. Right enough of this, its the end of me replying to you on this particular thread. 1 Quote Link to post
Dan_Mercian 27
I've not said anything waltish at all pal, just explaining what my username was about, it's not about being a walt at all, it's about being proud of being part of one of the best regiments in the army, I worked damn hard to get myself in and I'm going to stand up proud and use the regiments name in my username. That's the only reason. So yeah I'm in 100% agreeance that this has gone on too long, if you see my first post it was a question, once pounced on I tried to turn it into a joke, when that didn't work and further people thought I was some kind of psycho I just thought balls to it. I was merely asking if rabbits could be used in the same way in which livebait is used for pike fishing?? But forget it. Quote Link to post
HunterBoyTellEm 0
i live in Stockport, home of 4 Mercian. Bet some of the lads i know would like to know how you go on. And being a soldier doesnt guarantee your competence or sense. I saw a soldier in the shop near me once pickin up air rifles thinkin they were live firing, then whipped his forces card and claimed that meant he could purchase any gun. Never seen a redder face after gun licenses were explained to him. Was that you by any chance? Quote Link to post
