People keep talking about the 'vermin list' and no such thing exists these days. All the flora and fauna of the UK was listed in the W&C act, and effectively protected. Certain species were identified as being 'alien' and some others were listed as game. Schedule 14 (now replaced by a Statuatory Instrument) lists certain species which can be 'taken' by any authorised person, at any time. Quote Link to post
