camping out

Recommended Posts

hi , ive been thinking of how it might be good to do a little ferreting/camping, what i mean is to go some where and set up camp for the day doing a little ferreting, and camping down for the night, collecting fire wood, making a camp fire and cooking a rabbit for food and sleeping under the stars, thought it would be a real little adventure for the boy when he is bigger, well alot bigger only one and a half now lol, but anyway then i thought what would i do with ferrets for the day and night obviously they could sleep in the carry box but i was thinking of a little cage or something that folds away small and light. like i said tho its just a thought

has any one ever done this or can think of something like i mentioned for the ferrets?

vari kennel about medium size would be light enough to carry and secure as well. could probably borrow one handy enough

If you only have a couple of ferrets i would adapt one of the large pet carriers .. i once had a lady board a couple of ferrets here & as they were kept indoors at her house i had them in my kitchen while they were here

She brought them in a cat carrier which she had managed to put a second floor in it by attaching some lightweight wood to the vents that run down the sides of the carrier

it was pretty neat how she had done it as the 2 small jills used the floor for there latrine area & then slept in the little shelf she made them .. just one suggestion & saves you carting a bulky cage with you

not bad ideas them thanks, just thought maybe could get 6 small cage pannells like from a small bird cage and then cable tie them together when setting up camp, not sure if that would work tho would have to test it out lol

hi mate i did that exact little adventure you described

a good few years back now and to tell ya the truth

it was the best rabbit i ever tasted when i cooked it

and turned out a great day/night.

as for the box i found the ferrets were tired so just

curled up in the carry box after being fed and watered
