pianoman 3,587
Hi mate and welcome. If you can up your budget by another Fifty quid at least, you'll be in with a better chance of getting something second hand that will put a guaranteed smile on your face and game in the bag. Look for a good used Weihrauch HW80, HW77, HW98, HW95, HW90, HW35E, Air Arms Prosport, TX200, TX200HC. These are the only spring rifles I would confidently scope-up and go hunting with, in any calibre. One of them will be perfect for you. ATB Simon Quote Link to post

darren watson 14
my mate got rid of his smk 19 to get a webley stingray for 100 quid (mates rates, mind) and its quality piece of kit, i bet you could pick one up for a ton fifty. A word of warning though, the smk's very light and manoeverable isn't it? i wouldn't bother getting a rifle with an underlever cocking method cos of the extra weight on the front end, which'll be supported by your weaker arm. the difference in weight can come as quite a shock and really affect your accuracy after a few hours shooting. To me the ONLY way to choose a rifle is to get your hands on as many as possible before you buy. Quote Link to post
