Jonathan Booth France 5
I am hoping someone may be able to help Regarding the history or any knowledge of this line ???, My father brought me a Lurcher bitch puppy a couple of year ago from a guy called Lee Grice from Bedworth in the midland's the litter were advertized as being by his 23inch Norfolk Lurcher bitch called Brin which he claimed the same family line for over fourty years in his advert and the sire was by all accounts a large 28inch 5/8ths 3/8ths Bull x Greyhound called Chance (no reason to dispute this even though the Bull cross seemed larger than normal for the cross),My father picked me a broken coated bitch puppy which ended up around 23 and 1/2 inch at the shoulder anyway the bitch turned out as hoped a great though slightly small gamey all arounder and great on Earth bolted or drawing work with our Patterdale Terriers here in the South of France but would struggle with day time Hare if that were aloud ,We have tried to recontact the same guy many Times by the original advert phone number and get no replys or from his old email ,As when my father picked up the puppy only the young wife Called Gemma was home and she could throw no light on the origins even though she well varified remebering the cross and larger than normal bullcross ,in Sport Jonathan Booth France Edited January 8, 2011 by Jonathan Booth France Quote Link to post
fresh earth 47
Sounds a bit of a dodgy one mate at the end of the day the only way to be 100% clear on the sire would be a photo of the mating. I have seen bullx reach that size but to be fair if indeer the dam was 23" and the sire 28" then i would have expected the bitche's to make between 24-26" and dogs around the 26" mark. With the fact it was his girl you were left to deal with it kind of sums it up if you ask me. At least the dog is doing well for you and your happy with it regardless of her origins . Jonathan Booth France 5
I learned a lot of great news about the Sire all genuine but I would have loved to know more about the Norfolk? dame or her line. as a straight Norfolk Bitch crossed with a dog like Chance is just what we are now after again hopefully to make a clever all arounder with a little added fire ,in Sport Jonathan Edited January 10, 2011 by Jonathan Booth France Quote Link to post
