gnasher16 30,216
how do we keep disagreein lol ... i think lennon has the pace to terrorise defenders , where as beckham crosses the ball like no other so doesnt have to have the pace, but i would have lennon in for that pace off his , do you think beckham will cope with the speed of our game ? it must be 7/8 yrs since he left, i know he looks after himself but as they say you need games to get up to the tempo off the premier league, how many im not sure. Its all good mate footies all about opinions anyway...Beckham v Lennon......Lennon is a poorer version of Theo Walcott in my opinion, head down and run as fast as you can, cant cross a ball particularly well, cant finish all that well and dont read the game well.....but his sheer pace will always cause problems......whereas Beckham can hurt a defence with one pass/cross,can read the game brilliantly, and is likely to win a game with a dead ball around the box.....did a lack of pace ever mean much with Teddy Sheringham ?....players like that see situations so quick, and with the touch and ability they have pose more of a threat than the all out obvious speed in a running race that the likes of Lennon have in my opinion. Anyway its exciting times for you Spurs fans thats for sure. Edited January 9, 2011 by gnasher16
Stanleigh 135
Roy seems like a decent man ,and his record tells you he,s a competant manager ,but imo he lacked the presence the aura that the manager of a really top club needs, even one going through a bad time like Liverpool ,sometimes tactical nous is not enough ,passion and inspiration are whats needed for the rest of the season ,. What i've seen of Arsenal this season is if they sign a world class goal box striker then the league is thiers for the taking....

Lol i should of been on the ball about millwall , Totally agree about wenger , he has been TREMENDOUS for the club , from the youth set up right up to the building off the Emirates , but i also feel it is now the time to move aside, sometimes you can stay too long, that may sound Harsh, the young lads are a credit to wengers policy on football and the way it should be played, but at times a player who would be an assett through experience comes up for sale and you think buy him and he doesnt(shay given when 7 million would of had him from newcastle, all and sundry new a keeper was a must) just frustratin when you think where not far off being REALLY special with a couple of experienced additions and i cant see money bein a problem, he has generated millions in the transfer market plus the stadium is self surficient, centre half and goalkeeper are definetly needed, who would i like to replace wenger well that is where im not sure, maybe from with in but ive always had a secret admiration for Mourinho. I think a lot of it is Wenger has too much power within the club,he is an extremely intelligent man no doubt about it but after all said and done he,s a football manager not an accountant....he should be pleading with the directors for as much money as humanly possible to put the finishing touches on that team......but no,as long as they get the money from qualifying for the champions league every year and the ground is full every week thats good enough...he must be a directors dream ! I couldnt imagine Fergie settling for that could you and Utd are nearly a billion in debt ! After all the main success Wenger had was with George Grahams old side, the teams Wenger has built on his own havent cut it.....they create so many chances in games imagine what an Ian Wright would do in that team....a good old fashioned goal poacher,a centre half and a keeper and i reckon the league is theres for the taking. Think its the best ground in the country as well.

Another Ian Wright would be a God send, yes at times i think he thinks its his money lol, though i still dont think he will break his STUBBONESS and spend, which in the long run would pay for its self, if i could have any out field player in the world now it would be the German Sebastian Swhinstiger (spellin) though a centre back and goal keeper are a nesecity . havent been to the Emirates, was at Highbury loads of times was gutted when they left , my son said Emirates is top[ draw'

lanesra 3,994
Oh id love Owen to sign and do the business if only to annoy my mates who follow man.u/lpool lol, he always said he really rated Robbie Fowler but yet again when he was for sale he didnt bother , think Francis Jeffers failure still haunts him i think , though all managers get it wrong with players at times, took a step back from watching them the last 4/5 yrs ,i use to go to highbury 3/4 times a season and most of the games in the north west i.e lpool /everton /man u /man city ect loved takin my son with me, done that for yrs.I will get down to the Emirates eventually. gnasher16 30,216
He just dont seem to want to buy proven players....its like he always wants to create players...look at Henry as an example,or the 2 centre halfs he recently bought......that said he will go down as a legendary figure at the club he designed most of that ground himself you know ive been in the gym and dressing rooms there unbelievable.....he even has underfloor heating on the steps where the subs sit to warm their feet up before coming on,only on the home bench mind you ....he dont miss a trick. Anyway good to hear your thoughts mate all the best
