It's the HUNTING life, not the LURCHER hunting life. I look on the terrier section and the shooting section as well as other sections; so why shouldn't they look on the Lurcher section ?   Cheers.

but youv still got an intrest in hunting with lurchers. its the people who only crop up when say a rescue post or show post comes up. Then look down there nose at people like myself who keep dogs outs

Get a grip or better still get out with your dog and stop bitching

Wont affect me one little bit....I just please myself.

If I want to reply to something I do.....if I cant be arsed I dont.

Sometimes I mean what I say, sometimes I dont...........who cares!

ladys all coming out the wood work when I speak, ah if only it was like this down the pubs when I was single!

If when my daughter grows up she wants to be a lurcher women ill be happy as long as she can roll her sleves up when animals need dispatching and show the hard nose attitude needed to end up with decent stock.

To be honest id say testeron gets you on the coursing feild or digging to terreirs I hope theres women who can prove me wrong but if so i bet I wouldnt want to met her in a dark ally.

seems a lot of women on hear have pictures of them posing I wonder if you ment to go on " lonley herts for country walkers " :tongue2:

When you were single and in the pubs, i was out with the dogs ;)

Testosterone my arse....perhaps a desire to work dogs, to see the dogs doing well, and to treat prey with the respect it deserves. It has nothing at all to do with testosterone or being hard nosed. A person, male or female needs compassion & emotion to do the job properly. Plus if you have dogs for the jobs, you dont have to dispatch that often

You wont find me in a dark alley, father always taught me to stay away from them, never know what kind of weird men might be lurking in them :whistling:

the last two pages are a perfect example of what I mean people going on about non hunting rubbish.

Come on, mate. Were you actually going on about hunting or were you being a hunting snob and saying who can and who can't hunt according to your rules?

If a man/woman takes pleasure in the fact their family pet dug out and killed a rat, does that make them a hunter or does it make them a potential hunter?

Serious question, mate.

I take your point Reggie.

Im the least snobby person youll ever meet. I Just like to hear hunting tales from peoples " hunting lifes " I like a bit of banter from hunting people but it can easily over step the line and site lose its credability with a lot of genuine lurcher people.

I agree testosterone or little prick syndrome, either one attracts equal amounts.

I don't claim to be the GI jane of lurcher work, my dogs are pets that work sometimes, i will happily dispatch quarry if i need to. I enjoy the countryside and having always grown up rurally and surrounded by working dogs, its not really about "becoming" a lurcher lady, its just a way of life. My dogs run freely in countryside daily and stuff dies, thats what happens. I don't feel that because of that i should stop waxing and start openly swigging larger from cans . . . . . . . :whistling:

Spot on!! You sound like my kinda girl!
