J Darcy 5,871
Squirrels do not hibernate, they stay active all wonter long. Generally speaking they will be no where to be seen for the first day or two of very bad weather, but in the end they come out to feed. I generally find that they appear within 3 days of snow ,and if we have a couple of days of rain they will be out in force as soon as the weather clears.... Quote Link to post
StevoSmith 147
Like i said it's not like a hedgehog hibernates....they will come out in winter but when it gets really cold you will not see them.....like J Darcy has said if we have heavy snow they will not venture out and sleep in thier drays.....i know its not hibernating as we know it.
