StevoSmith 147
Carnt go wrong with a HW35 mate also try Air Arms tx 200h,HW77 and BSA Lightning all these are a good choice for a starting rifle but slightly on pricey side unless you buy second hand....good look with it and hope you find your rifle of choice soon Quote Link to post

pianoman 3,587
Welcome to the forum Redial As a first rifle you could do a hell of a lot worse than a Weihrauch HW35. Go for the HW35E with chequering to the stock grip. I had one back in the late 1970s and it was the absolute must-have air rifle of the day until the HW80 came along. As Andy says, the build quality was superb and still is with Weihrauch air rifles. Recently there has been some issues with badly chopped and finished mainsprings but, the company appears to have put that right. I have a pair of WEIHRAUCH HW80s, an HW95K and a brand new HW77 and they are beautiful guns. Extremely accurate and beautifully finished. If I was getting into air rifle hunting today and wanted a good, solid, all-round reliable first hunting rifle, I would go for an HW77 .22 or .177 but, that's just my personal choice. If you like the look of the HW35, you won't be disappointed by how it performs. ATB Simon Quote Link to post
