I rang ian hodge for a replacement striker lense and was told I would be better off buyin a new lamp

 

it is a new one ive only had it 2 1/2 months i droped it in the mud the other night and wiped it clean with my jacket :wallbash: :wallbash:

and now its scratched to feck.

hi mate, just a thought, can you buy some of the same plastic in B n Q and cut it to shape?

Dont think you can buy just the lens mate..i may be wrong though...although you can get a replacemewnt head...but if you are gunna go down that road then it,d be just as cheap to buy the full lamp...atb stabba

Dont think you can buy just the lens mate..i may be wrong though...although you can get a replacemewnt head...but if you are gunna go down that road then it,d be just as cheap to buy the full lamp...atb stabba

 

yes ive seen the replacement heads £70 :icon_eek: the full lamp only cost me £100 so if i cant get a lens ill have to get a new lamp but at least ill have a spare handle and wire.

Just a thought, on a new lamp do you think it would be a good idea to fablon (its the thin, clear stickie back plastic you use for water proofing maps) the lens? Dont think it would effect the beam, but its layer of protection that can be removed if it gets marked up.
