bloody hell steve, you've obviously decided to skip gradually building up to having an expensive rifle over many years, to going riht to the top straight away! for hunting, i would say the hw100 as i'd be afraid of getting an air arms ev2 dirt with the slightest speck of mud! the hw100 is a very nice handling rifle and loads on here love em, but remember you will have to add on the cost of a divers bottle or pump on top of the cost of your rifle and theses cose over £100.

Hehehe well wife said for me to choose what i want......and i said ok them lol its a prezzie from her when i decide as she enjoys me giving her a break when i go target and just recently game shooting......so why not buy a decent rifle outright and skip the inbetween stuff

Quite right Steve. Who says you got to "Graduate" to a top rifle? Get yourself the HW100, out of the two you have here. The BSA R10 seems to be very popular here too. Top kit works the best of all...use it!

All the best with your final choice mate.

Hi Steve,

One rifle is a dedicated target rifle more than a hunting rifle (but will obviously drop quarry), the other rifle the HW100T is more of a hunting rifle with the accuracy that will beat most average shooters using a target rifle.

I would pick the HW100T any day for hunting but the other if I was only into target shooting.

I’ve personally owned one, the carbine version (HW100KT) and they are brilliant rifles and very quiet.

One of the quietest air rifle sold for hunting.

The accuracy on them is outstanding and I have video footage of me putting a pellet in a .22 pellet hole with mine at a lased 50 metres using FX 16 grain pellets.

Look on you tube for a bloke called Zinaroon (Its me), then look for a clip on how to calibrate your mil dots in my Youtube channel.

You will see it done there with a HW100KT.

A lot of the experienced regulars in this section have them and they seem to be loved by all.

Another couple to have a serious think about are as follows:

Air Arms S410

BSA r10 = my personal favourite, but no better than any of the others.

BSA Ultra =another of my personal favourites.

Daystate Air Wolf

Daystate (Mark) rifles

Daystate Ranger

All are used by regulars on this section and they seem to produce some great accuracy and fill game bags (less for my rifles that at the moment only seem to fill bottle tops and tooth paste lids because that’s all I get to shoot at).

Off topic I know buddy, it’s a personal wing at myself for having the wonderful pleasure of living out of the UK.

Before you do decide to buy a certain rifle I would recommend that you go to your nearest gun shop and try it first mate in your shoulder to see if it’s the right weight for you and to see if it fits you nicely in the shoulder.

It should feel like a extension of your body in your shoulder if its right for you mate.

Like I said all the rifles that ive listed are brilliant and non are more accurate than the others in the average shooters hands.

Maybe in someone’s hands like Terry Doe or Nick Jenkinson all ex world champion FT shooters but not mine and not the average shooters hands.

Anyway you have fun mate and I wish you all the best with what ever you choose.

Kind regards

Si.

stevo dont overlook the aa s510 at the moment not as popular as its little sister the s410 but as time goes by and more people use and buy it i think the s510 will pass the s410 it has nicer woodwork a smoother coocking mechanisum nicer barrel which makes it feel as if you are shooting a rimfire rifle as for accuracy it will speak for itself when people start to win compos with it, before i get shootdown the s410 has been around a long time its a proven rifle as i think the s510 will be 2 bloody top guns

Had a feel of the Air Arms EV-2 mk2 tonight and the weight was awsome....like it wasn't the one in the pic it was a black finnish not the blue in my choices but WOW what a rifle......im trying the HW100K tomoz once gunsmith rings me on his range but it needs to be good to match the AA rifle thats for sure......for me its about balance and how it feels and if i could stalk during hunting for 6-7 hours if it feels right it is right

Im kinda like pianoman(si)but not as good when it comes to springers i love the weight and feel of a springer so pcp is very new to me

If you were gana do a bitvod yarhet shooting mate I think it's more suited for that, not Saying that on experiance just read a few reviews and write ups on it,

if you get the hw100 you got a out and out hunting rifle and something that will be just as accurate as any target shooting rifle, that's in my opinion though mate.

Try a daystate huntsman classic if you can find one to shoulder a friend just got one and it's light as a feather and proper accurate to.
