Malt 379
Fantastic work there fella! Just one thing though, why did you just put the DPC on top of the blocks, if you don't mind me asking?

Just one thing though, why did you just put the DPC on top of the blocks, if you don't mind me asking? As opposed to under them? My thinking behind it was that the kennels would be washed out everyday with the hose and the blockwork would get a soaking everyday ABOVE the DPC had it been under the blockwork. I never put any DPC sheeting under the base either as it would obviously be exposed to the elements and hose pipe everyday. Does that make sense? Where would you have put it? leegreen 2,169
Nice job. Did you insulate the roof, if not do you find the iron roof creates a lot of condensation? And can your dogs not climb out, I know mine certainly could. Edited January 6, 2011 by leegreen
A1an 4
Nice job. Did you insulate the roof, if not do you find the iron roof creates a lot of condensation? And can your dogs not climb out, I know mine certainly could. No condensation yet, my old ones did though, dunno why these dont! The terriers were going daft one night, I could hear one of them bouncing off the sides, I shone the light out the back window to find the biggest fox sitting 3 yards from the kennel and the terrier had climbed half way up the side! She has never done it since.
