cal 0 Posted January 4, 2011 Report Share Posted January 4, 2011 was out ferreting yesterday got 12 rabbits but to save me carrying them around the fields i always hang them from fence posts or tree,s then collect them on way back went to collect the last two and 1 had been pulled to the floor eyes missing and ripped open at the sies,2nd one just had the eyes missing dnt no what done it and never seen and thing like this before and been ferreting this farm all season and nothing liked this has happend before any 1 got and ideas please cheers calvin Quote Link to post

web22 27 Posted January 5, 2011 Report Share Posted January 5, 2011 i think crow/magpie is defo your culprit a fox would surely take the whole thing,maybe a bird of prey had a go? i try not to leave rabbits anywhere i can't see them because of the amount of little poachers hanging around,you could count yourself lucky they only took the eyes...
