BASE JUMPER 18
dont worry what other people think you no you lads pulled it of and thats the what matters and i bow down to you :notworthy: but i still would just like to see the dust cap idea that would be fun to watch Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Ok Base J, You have twisted my arm buddy, I'll except your dust cap challenge but to make it a worth while challenge I'll do it at 55 lased metres and scope cam it so you can watch from my perspective. I may need quite a few shots but so peeps don't think I'm editing anything I'll put a paper A4 back stop behind the cap so they can see the amount of shots. This I'll do on a weekend when there is no wind. This will also be my last challenge, my retirement challenge. Si Edited January 5, 2011 by zini Quote Link to post
BASE JUMPER 18
Now I feel Honoured that you would excepte my challenge nice 1 buddy that will make some really good footage mate you have fun Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
acording to daystate, if you clamp most modern guns they should put pelet on pellet at 50 meters... Thats probably correct Ghillies, assuming of course that the pellets are exactly the same weight and precisely the same shape (and we are talking zero% difference here) and that the regulater is putting out the same amount of air down to the thousand'th in both CML and density and that the temperature and humidity as well as air density are precisely the same for every shot However, there will never be two shots the same, especially when there is an organic floppy thing at the blunt end pressing the trigger. You see ghillies; its so much more than just the capability of the gun, its the combination of the gun, the scope, the pellet and the the Shooters Skills to evaluate the conditions and then make his own compensations as best he sees fit to produce the best shot Sticking the gun in a vice? Well yes; it would produce pretty consistant shots, but there WILL be a variance between shots. And on top of that, putting a gun in a vice? wheres the fecking fun in that hi Si & tony some nice footage there guys and some very good shooting indeed now where do we sign up for Si's boot camp and Si don't be bothered about peeps thinking you have edited stuff! if they choose not to believe it then its there loss,i have been shooting with you & Tony. and know what your capable of doing so f**k em!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well done lads regards Davy Thank you Davy Don't think Si's mentioned a few of the Guards who look after the area made a comment or two about the gun :11: 1st two guards walked up and of course neither of them knew who the feck I was GULP, now please bear in mind that the two on patrol were both carrying Sig's in 9mm. While Si was down range, I'm there with a tactical rifle and these guy's are heading straight for me. I said "Hello there" and smiled as if I owned the place, not knowing if either of them spoke any English. One of them smiled at me, the younger one came over as I laid the Ultra on the bench. The older one lit up a fag and the younger one got to within a meter of the gun and bent down and inspected the rifle. As he stood up he said "Very Nice Indeed" and looked at me, as I smiled he continued "Take it thats Si's xmas box is it? what's it capable of?" "Thats what we are here to find out" I replied. Then the following day similar happened, the older guard was the same, but the younger one was someone else this time. He had his hand way tooo close to his Sig for my liking as he passed me Si was at the bench when they passed me, the older one nodded and smiled as they passed me. When they were at the far end and I was filming Si's shooting the decreasing size targets, one of them said to him, "Now thats the kind of gun they should give us" instead of these bloody pistols! I'd have gladly traded Laura's Ultra for his Sig and a full Clip (but then I am a Pistol shooter at heart!) Ok Base J, You have twisted my arm buddy, I'll except your dust cap challenge but to make it a worth while challenge I'll do it at 55 lased metres and scope cam it so you can watch from my perspective. Si Cool Si', but k'inell buddy, at 55 meters a dust cap is gonna be totally obscured by the crosshair. You'll effectively be shooting blind even at 6mag Does that mean I'll have to do it as well Phantom Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Hi Tony glad you got back safely buddy. What i intend to do here Tony is calibrate the scope on x12 mag and make the changes to the scope camera elevation so i can see the mil dots ok. I then am hoping to see the dust cap enough to make a point on it with the new calibrated mildot aim point. If not then i will have to go for a well estimated and judged shot blind. That will make it even more a super challenge. Like i said though buddy it may take up to 20 shots, maybe more if i cant see it, but i will get it in the end im positive. Si.
