how warm are heat lamps?

Recommended Posts

Superb mate! Really impressed! Exactly howit should be! Nice one

They would work for me until the death.

Its the least I can do.

Over the years i have noticed that you dont get the same amount of years out of a dog that lives in the kennel to that of one that lives in a nice comfy C/H'd house, it takes years off them, especially with the winters we get up here. Hopefully by spending a few extra pounds on the kennels Il get that little bit more from the dogs.

Maybe thats not the case but we can only try.

They might just keep the chill off the room but they are designed to keep warm an area just below them.

spot on, ive got 2 (250wt) mine are about 6ft from the dogs, it just keeps the chill out . The dogs love them anyway, they dont want to come out of there kennels in the mornings

i bought one of those , and took it back , useless  the one i bought you had to touch it to feel any heat ,,

Mine have underfloor heating under the floor of there sleeping box. They cost less than £100 with thermostat.

That's a good idea chester, box in a tubular heater under a raised bed, as long as you don't use too much bedding.
