A1an 4
Superb mate! Really impressed! Exactly howit should be! Nice one They would work for me until the death. Its the least I can do. Over the years i have noticed that you dont get the same amount of years out of a dog that lives in the kennel to that of one that lives in a nice comfy C/H'd house, it takes years off them, especially with the winters we get up here. Hopefully by spending a few extra pounds on the kennels Il get that little bit more from the dogs. Maybe thats not the case but we can only try.

bird 9,932
They might just keep the chill off the room but they are designed to keep warm an area just below them. spot on, ive got 2 (250wt) mine are about 6ft from the dogs, it just keeps the chill out . The dogs love them anyway, they dont want to come out of there kennels in the mornings

TOMO 26,240
all rit lads how much heat cums off a heat lamp enuff to warm the room of the kennel and which bulbs r best dull emeters or the infra red 1s? you would be better off with a tube heater off ebay 3ft long around £30 heat lamps in kennels can be dangerous, all the best john. i bought one of those , and took it back , useless the one i bought you had to touch it to feel any heat ,,

the_stig 6,614
i use a small wall mounted oil filled rad on a timer from 6 pm - 2 am keeps a 12 x 8 shed warm ...found it better than a heat lamp
shepp 2,285
Mine have underfloor heating under the floor of there sleeping box. They cost less than £100 with thermostat. That's a good idea chester, box in a tubular heater under a raised bed, as long as you don't use too much bedding. Edited January 5, 2011 by shepp
