Where he would struggle was in turning, he could get up to them no prob, but would loose out with agilty this was daytime. Foxes can hard enough at times never mind hares . . Maybe a salukixgrey x bull grey might be a better x, than just bull to grey.? As you might get lighter+agile type of dog, and better wind.? cheers bird ,, il take that on board Quote Link to post

merle24 61 Posted January 5, 2011 Report Share Posted January 5, 2011 Has anybody ever known a bull cross thats made the grade as a daytime coursing dog ? i know this cross isnt really bred for coursing but has anybody had one thats been exceptionally good at it ? were not talking about the dogs that catch the occassional hare , i just wonderd if there was any out and out hare dogs ? What a silly question,,, bull x daytime hares,,,ermmmm, no,,, unless your running milky dows or leverets or running on land when the hares a triping up cause the grounds that rough they carnt run for shite. Bruce was great dog, good on foxes and good on rabbits for a 70lb, he was fast+agile a very good x Quote Link to post

And is (main) quarry was foxes+rabbits, and he was spot on for them Quote Link to post
