bull crosses ever make the coursing grade ??

Recommended Posts

had a 1/4 bull 3/4 grey 26in 70lb, fast+agile for is size . Had rabbits+foxes and couple hares in the lamp. Where he would struggle was in turning, he could get up to them no prob, but would loose out with agilty this was daytime. Foxes can hard enough at times never mind hares . . Maybe a salukixgrey x bull grey might be a better x, than just bull to grey.? As you might get lighter+agile type of dog, and better wind.?

cheers bird ,, il take that on board

Has anybody ever known a bull cross thats made the grade as a daytime coursing dog ? i know this cross isnt really bred for coursing but has anybody had one thats been exceptionally good at it ? were not talking about the dogs that catch the occassional hare , i just wonderd if there was any out and out hare dogs ?

What a silly question,,, bull x daytime hares,,,ermmmm, no,,, unless your running milky dows or leverets or running on land when the hares a triping up cause the grounds that rough they carnt run for shite.

why do people ask these questions.... Do they not understand the coursing game.. Sure bullx's will take hares... seen it many times, but they will never be a coursing dog! And one at 70lb, what on earth would you want a 70lb coursing dog for....

like i said (not) a hare dog, but for is size he was not that bad on hare, could get up to them no prob, but loose out on the turns. And is (main) quarry was foxes+rabbits, and he was spot on for them
