moles! help needed

Recommended Posts

On a golf course, away from water, sounds like a gassing job.

We all had our first job once! Search the posts on here they are fairly sound.

Best place to look is the pestcontrol section though.

Got any insurance? A job like that will require public liability insurance and BASC,SGC,CLA insurance etc will most likely not cover you for this job. I'm guessing you've never trapped a mole before, nevermind on a golf course with the pressure to get them gone and the traps that will go missing and need replaced etc etc etc. Save the headache and call in someone who knows what they are doing. Stay away from gas, one wrong move and it's goodnight, theres no antidote for a lungful of gas. ;)

Don't be put off to quickly and like others have said everyone has to start somewhere with there first mole job, just tell the groundsman the truth and he might even let you have a little pratice on a few moles out the way sort of thing and if you do well you might well be able to do the rest.A few mole traps won't cost the world and who knows if you are sucessful the cost of the traps needed will be cheaper than a pro pesty and if the groundsman is helping set the traps then the golf courses insurance might well cover him for liability.Catching pests ain't as hard as most pro pesties like to make out and i do a few mole jobs for folks and have never been shown how to trap them, give it a go and who knows you might just have the nack  .
