ligiment damage takes months 2 heal i,ve done my achilies years ago and its still not right ,not sure if your dog will ever make a full recover for working ,but if you give the dog right resting time it could be different at least you can say you done everything you could, atb

ive a dog that badly injured her hip ligament i took it to ROBRT MEEK (osteopath and muscle man) as i didnt know the nature of the injury and couldnt identify what it was .he told me it could be the end of of her running days and rated her chances as only 30%.he told me 16 weeks of short walking only on the lead followed by building up the dogs fitness slowly .shes not a working dog but does compete in racing and made a full recovery.this guy travels all over the country and is used by greyhound trainers of the highest level he wont hand out any medication but will find any injurys old or new and he only charges a tenner .

Treatment should include, rest (obvious),cold treatment, compression, and essentially ultrasound, ligament injuries DO take a long time to fully heal at least 12 months but with the correct treatment and bringing on with light exercise your bitch should be back at work far sooner than that dependent on severity of injury.
