the best hunting knife

I lost a 70 quid gerber out lamping last season. So angry I could have stabbed myself if I hadn't lost my knife. Lol.

 

Now I just use a cheap and cheerful opinel. Good blades if you keep on top of them.

Gerber gators are abour 40 odd quid and have a nice blade and a great rubber handle.

Very sturdy and the thick blade takes a bit of abuse.

 

Anything more expensive for general hunting and your wasting money IMO

i use a number 7 not bad for the money and they sharpen ok

I use an helle ny fjording but ive also got a mora triflex as a back up aswell . If you want a good blade thats super cheap have a look at clas ohlson , they do the mora viking for £2.50. You could pay a lot more for a lot worse than a mora . The mora clipper as been discontinued though , so if you find somewhere that has some in stock it would be worth picking a few up

Mora are the way forward, brilliant, cheap and good blades.

 

Why pay more, I don't get why you would ever want anything else.

Yes it has . They might still have them in stock at some shops but there wont be any more once they have sold them , they have replaced them with different models . Your right though , they are good knives . Edited to add ,i paid twice as much for the triflex because the bloke in the shop told me they were discontinued (replaced by the bushcraft , force and another one) i hope he hasnt pulled my pants down . I have seen it mentioned on other forums though
