caterpiller 10 Posted January 3, 2011 Report Share Posted January 3, 2011 The collie is Stevos, it is awesome at marking and never gets it wrong, he put another collie over her with good working background so the pups should be fantastic. Had a Collie who tagged along on Ferreting Days when i was younger but it was NO FERRETING DOG.....he was just a Dog who was taken out........useless if i am honest.......never marked and would not pick up Rabbits he just used to herd them. To be fair to the Dog though.......he was never brought up as a FERRETING DOG....he was just a house pet. It was a shame really.....he was a very bright Dog with a fantastic temperament and had he of been brought up and schooled correctly.....he may of made a handy Dog. I imagine a Collie brought up and schooled correctly would make a really good FERRETING DOG....it will be nice to follow the progress of the Pups if Stevo keeps one back.
