mk 1 box

due to my mk3 box being knackered i was thinking about a mk1 box,how accurate are they with the mk3 collars any advice welcome

dont think that they are that far out but they will still let you know were the ferret is better than none atol

I used my old MK1 box with the MK3M collars as a back up.

Seemed to work fine.

Wish it still did cos its handy to have as a spare thats for sure!!

 

As a matter of interest whats gone wrong with the MK3 you have?

i dropped it mate and the ferrite rod broke i got another from maplins but the readings were all over the place,think theres more damage than i first thought

i didnt think the mk3 collars worked with the old box?

yes they do but the mk3 box wont work with the mk1 collars

you should ov stuck with the mk1 they are much better

ohh thats good new as i still have my mk1 collars but a broken mk1 box lol

I fix mine and other ones scrutchy gets so we have them to work with.

i use the mk1 box with the mk3 collars and i seem to find that it all works fine but come to digging down its about a foot out in depth
