chester 147
Thanks for all the replys. I ended up buying a pup from the Wolfie litter from Craig Nuttall and am delighted with the pup. Just like to say that it was the first time I met CN and i didn't know what to expect. He was an absolute gent and even gave me £20 back to cover my fuel. Went down hoping to gey a dog pup but ended up changing mind and going for a Cream Bitch who is a wee stunner. Will get pics up soon. Thanks to Karlsberg, Chester, Moll and Snoopdog for all your help. Nice to see that there is still plenty decent folks in the game. good luck with the pup mate Quote Link to post
dodger 2,765
c.n is a clever man at his job and them pups will be as good as any breed. I WOULD NOT GIVE £500 FOR A COURSING PUP ANYMORE. Im affraid the matching jobs finnished. I live were hares and coursers where every where you couldnt go in the country side 10 to 15 years ago with out seeing 10 to 20 fellas in a line walking feilds or see the saburus parked out side the cafe on a saturday morning all meeting at the start of a bet. Iv been on permission and had the helicopter up 5 times in the last 12 months its a totalie over the top crack down on illegal lurcher coursing. I lamp and ferret my strain of dogs now and if I find a hare on my travels all the better. I never started an alrounder I was bang into hares I lived for it. Then youv got that lovely felling of wondering if your dogs will still be in there kennels every morning cause someone who cant bred there own stuff has thrown them over the garden fence into an awaiting car. Every august lads go mad for dogs and by november and a few summons they are giving them away! Im affraid unless your a drug dealer on the side or wealthy Its a real hard game to be at the top of. Im not saying theres not loads of genuine boys but every person in single handed dogs knows some one who lives well beyond there means. whats the point owning a good dog when only 2 or 3 people at a time will ever see it run nower days. iv got an out an out coursing bitch you couldnt lamp her likes a bit of space shes 2 year old and I just dont run her cause its to much greif. If I can sell her I wont bothr getting another like her. I can relate to alot of that and alot of what you say is so tru, shame things have changed so much never the same but i guess we have to adapt the best way we can,atb to ya Quote Link to post
