boyo 1,398
went out gate hopping last night to try and get my salukix greyhound pup a few runs on rabbits and 2 hours later had only seen 1 rabbit and this from places that i used to take big numbers years ago. i bred the pup for longears but dont think i would want to keep a dog just for bunnies anymore with ths lack of them about .quite a few locals have said the same to me about not seeing many and thats in a few differant places .how are othersfinding it . matmorgan 49
theres a good chance they will come back.my local permission was littered with rabbits years ago.then for years you would struggle to see one.now its crawling with them.same as most in nature.seven good years seven bad.my grandad was a farmer told me that about his crops.also a surfer in oz told me every seventh wave is the biggest.natural cycles i think mate.just hope you dont have to wait seven years though lol. staffs riffraff 1,068
I know a few places small mind and hard to run on them but littered with them look like fields ull of sheep sometimes there's that much of them out at a time and that is edge of town you could say then you go places farther out that should hold very good numbers and you see the odd one same with foxes when out rabbiting you are lucky to see one but get back in town and there's loads seen 2 last night on way back in to town Quote Link to post
