reavo2k9 20
I had one it caught a few roe but it was only good for a few runs I walked it miles it was fit but just ran out of steam personally I'd avoid mate atb Quote Link to post
Tiny 7 1,694
I think youd be better of with a lurcher that suits your need IMHO, But if its the greyhound road you choose id stay away from the x racers and get a pup and fetch it on that way, As 90% of racers iv seen never had a recall, Didnt take the slightest bit of care even when running flat out at a soild iron gate at 40mph, And have never been broken to ANY livestock, Ect Ect...... shepp 2,285
You could have that dog for the next 12 years, act in haste regret at leisure. If you get a lurcher pup with all the right ingredients it's still not an easy task to turn it into a good working dog. With an ex-racing greyhound the odds are stacked way too far against you. lifelong cumbrian 1,829
At nearly 2 years old and from racing stock it could be very tricky to stock break. It will more than likely have been encouraged to chase anything that moves. I would buy a lurcher pup and bring it up how you would like, just my opinion.
