scopes from china

Recommended Posts

hi guys sorry if im asking something thats already awnsered before but im a bit unsure about cheapish scopes from china that claim to be a certain good make, are all the cheap ones copys of the genuine or are they genuine but are cheap due to the chinese economy the reason is i got a bushnell one i brought off ebay from hongkong but i really didnt expect much for my £30 including mounts/p+p i waited 14 days to arrive opened the box and from that moment on have been very very impressed on quality clarity and above all performance so for these reasons its probably the best £30 ive spent in a long time, the only crap things were the free mounts that were 1 bolt fixings but a 4 bolt 1 piece mount sorted that out,

heres a link to the one i brought.

MATE..GIVE IT A FEW WEEKS THEN REPORT BACK..

HOPE IT DO THE BUSINESS FOR YOU BUT I'V HAD A COUPLE AND THEY NORMALLY END UP BECOMING USELESS.!

yeah i suppose only time will tell, sounds like youve been unlucky there buddy.

But i guess its only £30 mate so it aint going to break the bank....be aware when zero-ing in not to twist the adjusters too much. They are usually very fragile..All the best.!

My stalking pal has a chinese bushnell on his 243. He has had it for i think 2 years now and has never had a single problem with it, it is every bit as good as my scopes including a really good bushnell.

I guess replicas, like replica watches have come quite a way i the last few years.

Hi mate I got a Tasco 6-24*50 AO IR from Hongkong and used it on my r10 for a year.

I filmed Ultimate vermin control and Pure air rifle hunting with it and it worked very nicely.

I've bought loads from China and it's always been great kit.

Hi Tony and Welcome to the forum :)

I've had most of my hunting rigs accessories from either China or HK and apart from a battery charger that broke on me I've had no problems with it! I have Si's Tasco on my Chinese made springer now

I have a Leaupold Scope that I came from the same factory as the genuine Leaupold Scope's; it faild QC at last inspection due to a blemish on the coating of the objective lense (Trust me this in no way hinders the scopes performance) Rather than spend all the extra money to strip is down and strip the coatings off, then recoat it and refil the nitrogen in the unit, it's sold cheaply as a clone or a 'second'. Its never let me down that one and its the scope I used at the Meet and Comp last July.

The charger that broke was an el'cheapo granted, but I doubt that a massively more expensive charger would have survived the impact when the wife threw it at me!
