MOO 730
We were out on thurs conditions were a lot better now that most the snow has gone and ice has thawed Drew the first spot that has always held in seasons past but we have blanked so far this season ..Ali was up on the top covering a big stubble field for a retrieve with the big dog and I was at the bottom ...my nephew was put with a gun to stop it heading towards town and he was told in no uncertain circumstances could he miss and allow charlie to become an urban fox followed by hounds ....so he was a tad nervous A call cmae on the radio that a brace had got up and was heading his way ...then the call we wanted they were marking a spot on the bank we had dug in the past ...Ali entered his young bitch ....we couldnt use Glen as I dug a dog and vixen with him on wed so hes out of action for a wee while Opend up where the hounds had trenched a bit and she flew in ....heard he working her fox ..let her settle and Ali got a mark at at 3.4 ...not what I wanted to hear after still feeling the effects of the previous nights bottle of rum ..... MOO 730
3.4 lol bet use were glad of the bolt.what age will sal be know moo.well done to ur nephew 3.4 is a real tester for the terrier but when you have a huntsman and hounds waiting you need the bolt and the fox shot to stay within the law . Sal is over 10 shes lost a lot of pace and is straight lined a bit these days but still seems to be in the right place at the right time and still gets out to do a bit but is semi retired 1 Quote Link to post
