a nice mooch

hiya lads, well i went out with the mutt for a mooch today on the farm, and to be honest, after a couple of hours spent fruitlessly wandering up and down the rides and hedges bordering the fields i'd almost given up on the chance of seeing any squirrels, which was todays target(you try sneaking up on pigeons with an energetic jack russell...) i decided to call it a day. just as i left the farmyard to walk up to the car i saw a squizzer about 40m away but i wasnt gonna get close enough to take a stander or kneeler at itas it was going like the clappers. oh well...

a further bit on and i saw this little chap stop on a branch though, so a quick stander later at 20m and she was in the bag, ready for my local's chef to do with as he wants, nice...

back home with the '95- no scoffing at my expensive plaited paracord sling, jubilee clip and rubber band combo(i couldnt find any baling twine for the sling)

cheers lads!

@ ste,not this time buddy, i gave it to the chef in my local to see what he's gonna come up with-and i have to say, its turning out to be a nice little arrangement :victory:

@ si, thanks for the kind words mate, hope you guys are enjoying yourselves over the water

@shay, i had to wash the bloodstains directly after the photo mate :icon_redface: , but she's quite lenient as we're both messy buggers :whistling:

@ jasp, dunno about it looking better mate, but it's definitely silent in comparison to the shop bought ones, and the 'heath robinson' nature of it suits me :whistling:

@ steve, yep, the mutt attempts to retrieve for me, but by 'retrieve' what he actually means is 'try and nick it before master gets there and start eating'... he's better with rabbits, having pulled quite a few runners out of bushes for me but i'm a bit wary of him getting on squizzers since they've a nasty bite on em. i'm sure i remember my great grandad telling me about one biting the nose of a lurcher in half when i was a nipper and i worry about the same happening to the pooch- the missus'd kill me for that....

all the very best, wurz
