first day on new permission (not the best day out but....)

had a trip out the land that ive just gotten permission on after doing abit groundsman work for the farmer. hes told me ferreting only! thats great news to me! and its only a 15min drive from where a live!

so set off this morning, took the jill, locator, spade, my backback that used to have all my nets in!!! and rollie.

got there had a walk round the land, loads of marks from the dog! every set is massive like 15 holes min! started netting up a nice banksider and realised i only had 13 nets in my backback as i had loaned out 20 to a mate and never got them back!! blocked off a few holes and left a few that looked unused..... got one in the bag and bolted around 5 out of holes i hadnt netted. so called it a day and headed off, cant wait to get my nets back and take a few more ferrets over.

aye ive been on to him like hes bringing them round asap, cant wait to get back over going to be much bigger bag full next time, iam thinking of investing in a lurcher of some sorts, as there was loads running lose!

Yeah it's good fun with the dogs as well, I got a lurcher pup whose just starting this season and my jack russell, we tend to long net the bigger warrens and use the dogs as well.

there was a good video of a lurcher called Tegan working the longnets on here a while back, put in the search engine I think you'd like it
