this is how to tie a clove hitch without using the ends of the cord/rope

 

although this is irrelevant to making purse nets (as you would be passing the cord through itself while making a purse net) but its always handy to know :good:

have a think about that statement again :hmm: its the knot that is used on your first line of any purse net when making it on the ring and it is the knot that holds a ring if fixed after the net is finished ;)
