a top genuine guy off the Daystate owners club sorted me out a full length shroud complete with Baffles he designed himself. All arrived this morning so I set about fitting it and re-zeroeing the gun before finally taking a wander through the woods.

 

I must admit the new Baffles are extremly quiet without the silencer fitted which now makes me think about doing without the Airstream Mod completly, I'm shocked how quiet this system has made the gun. with the gun zeroed and the weather pretty foggy I walked into the woods where the Pigeons generaly come into the Ivy to feed! it wasn't long before one was picked out with the scope and downed with the Air Ranger, within minutes of picking up a flock returned to a open tree about 50 yds from where I was standing! I managed to move round the tree for a clear shot and number two was added to the bag before coming home.

 

Must admit I'm pleased as punch with the workmanship carried out by this guy on the baffling system, I also prefer the gun now with the full length shroud compared to the shorter one that came with the gun.

Nicely shot Woody brace Jasp. Of course, there's a bit of wisdom says that, the shooter's skill is something to do with it but, I'm glad to see you are enjoying what this new shroud and baffles kit has done for the handling and sound moderation of your Daystate rifle.

the gun is looking great to pal i tried to get my son brenden out with his new gun this morning but he said he wasnt feeling well

but maybe in the morning he will want to come with me and he didnt get up until 12.30 today lazt sod lol

Aye up Jasp . Nice going buddy , its goood to hear you gettin some good advise from the Daystate site , as with many other dedicated sites , they can be the best place for information . I must say , its great to see people getting the same buzz thats kept me going ,and i see JD is getting into it a bit as well . Be cool buddy , Bust .

Cheer all for the replies . the gun shot pretty good before but is now much more consistant! it seems to have steadied down since the genuine Shroud was fitted. when the gun came to me it was fitted with a MK4 carbinised shroud which was also a smaller diameter than the genuine Air Ranger shroud! somthing was definitly a miss as the gun needed re zeroing by a long way after this genuine shroud was fitted, I also noticed in the past the gun shot a good way out when the silencer was removed! probably clipping.

 

anyway! have a good new year all . I know this fella won't be seeing the new year in! he trespassed in the woods behind the aviaries before taking cover in a ivy tree, I finally got a clear shot and scewerd him through the rib cage! he fell like a sack of spuds .
