cant believe my dogs been murdered

Recommended Posts

Not a nice thing to happen to anyones dog but in all honesty i never let mine run wild out of sight for the simple fact that they may attack someone elses dog and suffer the same fate as your beloved dog,im sure if i was out walking my smaller dogs and a bigger dog come and attacked them i would beat the living daylights out of that bigger dog with a stick, maybe that is what happened.

Are you for real it was a shar pei not a fecking ABT :icon_eek:

And if this dog was aggressive in any way I think Kev's missus would've been aware has its been running around alone for a while

Shar pei's are a fighting breed pal. They may look fecking daft after what divvy breeders have done to them over the years, but they're still strong dogs which are known for a short temper. Loads end up in rescues after being bought for their looks by people who don't know how to handle a powerful, game dog..

Sorry to hear about what has happened Kev, but is there any chance that he'd had an accident with a car and ran off to die? :(

Congratulations to all of you that have had the chance to congratulate yourselves on your superiority Ahhhhh the internet - allows people to be so wonderfully socially retarded.

Fucks sake, with some of these replies. We've all had our dogs run off out of sight, especially our running dogs, it happens. Unless its to save a life there is no excuse for beating a dog to death. S

A few years ago there used to be lots of dogs straying around the streets, old mongrel types mainly, but I'm surprised a game dog of this breed would be unsupervised, and would be allowed to let Rome around, Was ya not worried about it getting pinched? as well as what it could have done if a child was walking his/her dog in the same area and the dogs were to fight,

It must have crossed someone's path to get beaten like this, Sorry for your loss,

shame if someone gets away with doing that to your dog.

good luck in finding them

Ideation - i think the point being made is that to allow any dog free roaming these days is not acceptable and illegal as the dog is outside of your control in a public place. The Shar Pei is a fighting breed and although, not what could be referred to as a man stopper, it could cause sufficient damage to children or other pets that no "oh well she come back within half an hour" is really the response expected of the owner. There is a thread on here where some fool is suggesting further breed specific legisaltion is required to prevent human deaths, despite the fact that the DDA has solved nothing. Then you get this thread where someone casually remarks that a fighting breed is left to roam. If dog owners don't want more legislation we cannot load the bullets for our enemies?

None of this excuses what has been done to the animal in question and I would be more concerned that there is someone about locally capable of such a thing, these type of people usually go onto commit crimes against people!

Very much agree mate, just saying that there are a lot of folk taking the high and mighty, but we have all been out and our dog has disappeared for a bit (usually on sight of scent of game) it's unnerving, and usually they come back pretty quick, but it does happen and sometimes happens for longer than 5 mins. Its obvious to say that we should keep our dogs under control, but the guys dog died unpleasantly, so maybe it doesnt need repeating over and over.

a couple of days ago my dog who lives with my ex legged it up the path at the back into the woods nothing new there she comes back after half hour ,then she never came back 2 days later and a million phone calls shes been found in the graveyard 100 yrds away dead took her to the vet and she had been beaten to death the vet then phoned the police and rspca i cant understand why anyone would want to do that to her shes a lovely shar pei 8yrs old and no harm to anyone the sick b*****ds in this world i will never let my dogs out my sight again

What action are the police and the RSPCA taking?this must be a godsend for the RSPCA, there website must be plastered with pictures of this dead animal, can someone put a link up ?

ok first off thanks for all your replies ,the vet has said it was definately beaten to death they think with a blunt object not sure what the rspca are doing about it as i havent personally spoken to them ,

and to those who never let there dog out of there sight for a second this dog was bombproof brought up with small children never showed aggression to anyone ever the back garden backs on to a hill side and a graveyard in the middle of nowere no one goes up there this is the welsh vallays not a park in a city she never went far and never for long and all the people round there are close community and all know the dog as she stood out from the norm

my only guess is young lads have tryed to pinch her and it has some how gone terribly wrong i more than anyone would like to know what happend to put my mind at rest ,i think it will come to light at some point as people just cant keep there mouth shut and everyone knows everyone up there

im gonna ask what the rspca are doing about it today im not a great lover of the rspca either but we will see what happens

Sorry to be blunt but....You should never let your dogs roam free, no matter how safe you think it is...what has happened just goes to prove why.

Dogs are never 100% safe or trustworthy, they are animals.

And as for the RSPCA, i would not be surprised if they decided to prosecute you for allowing the dog to roam free, causing suffering to the animal by doing so, the RSPCA are even less trustworthy than animals ;)

So sorry for your loss Kevin, a horrific act by anyone's standards.

I personally detest Shar pei's . . i think they are vile, over bred freak shows of a dog, and anyone buying one is helping towards the over breeding of the latest fashion accessory, but thats just my opinion.

They are known for their aggressive tendencies, due to as Malt has said, their fighting origins. BUT all that to one side, NO DOG regardless of breed deserves such harsh and cruel treatment . . . . again unless as has been pointed out, it is to save a person being mauled.

The running off thing . . . . anyone who owns a dog and can say hand on heart 100% truthfully that their dog HAS NEVER been out of sight and not under control deserves a medal! :notworthy:

I genuinely hope you find out who did this, in order to get some closure.
