A few hours out

Recommended Posts

Well REDEYE JEDI(DOM) turned up at mine alomg with BODGERBEAR(ROB),the plan was to ferret a long bank which holds quite a few rabbits. So we got to the place and DOM and ROB started setting the long nets, :icon_eek: the ground was like concrete they had a hell of a job,i couldnt help as i was nursing a major hangover   but they got there in the end.So ferrets entered and we waited, suddenly i saw ROB sprinting like mad coat open sweat pouring off him,he would have put most lurchers to shame  .1 rabbit in the long net then for the next half an hour the rabbits where just hole hopping, and god there was a few as well, they just was not bolting fast,to be honest we could have done with a few more ferrets working. So i said to DOM when your ferrets show pick them up and box them,so we got all of the ferrets out apart from DOMS hob so a sweep with the locator and nothing we walked the whole hedge which was a bout 500 yds long and nothing,so an hour later and still no signal when suddenly DOM said ive got him,he was just inside a hole having a tussle with a rabbit.By this time i was feeling a bit pissed off,its always the same you invite folks up and the bags shite, three hours and two rabbits :censored::wallbash: .So we moved to another warren this one was looking good, fresh shite all over, runs in the snow going from holes to feeding ground,so we pursed netted up and put the ferrets in about 5 mins passed when WHAM rabbit hits the net,DOM runs over and grabs it chined it put it on the floor..............AND IT GOT UP AND RAN OFF :laugh: .......luckly it back netted, few more mins and another bolted into the net then a stoat shot out of a hole,so i thought cant be any more at home just as i thought it a rabbit bolted and flung the net ROB or DOM set that one :whistling::tongue2::laugh: .Which was quickly followed by another which was caught. So in all not a big bag but a nice day out in good company, thanks for coming up lads  ,shame we only got six but better then nothing.

A few pics.
