i need some load data

i know a few of you use this combination and ive been away from home for ages so ive only just procured it. is it odd that it took almost 4 months for my local dealer to stock some hornady 87g bthp's? anyway ive got varget and those because i know a few of you on here use it to great effect so what combinations do you use?

Good round 87gr BTHP's devastating on fox, splits them in two.

 

I dont however use Varget, I use N140. At about 36gr.. Does all I need.

My recipe is for 75 grain V-max driven by 44 grains of H380.

I have recently had some fantastic results using 37.5 grains of Varget behind 80grain Berger Varmint bullets .75" groups at 200yds.

I also had some good results with 87 grain V-Max with 44grains of H414 which produced 1.25" groups at 200yds.

 

Both the above were seated just off the lands by .003-5"

 

Both of these combinations will dispatch a fox easily with devastating effects.

i find 34.5grn H4895 with a 95grn SST, one of the best loads i have ever used turn fox to soup :boogie: but dont chest shoot a deer with them to much watse

With 75gr V Max i use 38.5 grn varget really tight groups my tikka loves them..
