Uncle Phil 0
Went down the club last night and was the only one on the range. Had to zero the rifle (A-flippin-gain; having serious grief with the scope) so sat there with a full cylinder and just shot until it emptied noting each POI in relation to POA. Half way through, a bunny came hopping along and sat down directly in front of the target – bang on my zero range! The rifle was shooting two inches high and right so I didn’t want to have to try and compensate for an iffy zero, so I shot just behind its arse and made it jump out the way. It only moved about six feet but at least I could carry on shooting. But then another damn bunny came and did exactly the same – sat down right in front of the target. These little buggers are taking the pee, I’m sure of it Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
Now isn't that just like Murphy's Law -an absolute perfect shgot opportunity and the gun's not ready! I have had to wait and stalk and ambush patiently for hours with my rifle on my permission just to bag one or two rabbits some days and evenings. I took an evening stroll into the woodland with my partner Joanne without cammo or rifle, one sunny night this year and there were hundreds of rabbits popping up all over the place along the hedgerow I normally stake-out. Bloody typical! ATB Simon Quote Link to post
