S410 CLASSIC TO CARBINE CONVERSION ???

Recommended Posts

It would be a case of swapping the barrel and cyliner . Not too involved really , main thing would be keeping an eye on the power .

Parts needed would be -

RN235 CARBINE CYLINDER TUBE £35-£40

S403 F/G ( depending on calibre ) CARBINE BARREL CARBINE £110 - £125

Would be worth your while changing all seals whilst its stripped ( about £6.50 for a set )

I have had several of those rifles, Personally I`ve more often seen shooters of the Carbine wanting to go up to the classic and never the other way around. Obviously to get more shots from the larger air reservoir on the Classic.

My advice here would be take the barrel & Air Tube of the carbine and put it up for a swap on the AA owners forum or Air Gun BBS. It will be taken up in a matter of hours as there are many who seek the larger option.

And as the barrel is a bit longer there may be a slight increase in ftlbs so a little tweaking could be required to bring it back under 12ftlb if it goes over.

At up to 60 shots for carbine , 80 shots for the classic , i honestly cant see the difference . You will never use 80 shots whilst hunting ( realistically , it will equate to 40 ish shots for both once you know the power curve ) . 99% of hunters know where the start of the power curve is , aswell as where it drops off , so like i say 40ish decent shots . Which is still loads of shots whilst hunting .
