ferretracer 24
i think its different people prefer some more than others and some go in and out of fashion, ive only recently this year started working mine after 10 years of keeping them as pets, ones which i do know hold there value are black eyed silvers or black eyed whites i used to have a black eyed silver till last year when he passed away, at a ferret show a few years i had him i was getting offers between £100 and £150 mainly from working chaps, would never had sold him though Edited December 28, 2010 by ferretracer Quote Link to post
terrierjohn 49
thats my point where can people justify selling ferrets for that price not directed to anyone in general here and also they must have been right pellets to even offer that kind of money for a ferret fiver each or at a very push £15 Quote Link to post
KDR 14
4 white feet "pass him by". Quote Link to post

Jamie m 668
I think 15 for a jill is a good price for the welfare of ferrets only trouble is come the spring there's all sorts of shite some of them fuzzy brigade calling themselves BREADERS and having upteen litters makes it hard to find homes , in my opinion would be magic if there was a jab that limited the litter to say 4 kits , I was lucky in the summer in a litter of 7 only had one hob ,I have noticed that ferret land haven't been on Hear since they were exposed ss pedallers , Quote Link to post

Aaron_butcher 17
I was on a ferret rescue website not to long ago and on the main page it said that sadly they could no longer take on ferrets as they had over 130 but on a seperate page it said now taking orders on next years breeding program. The people are just in it for a few quid selling them to any old mug that knocks on there door. I even called them and asked about rehoming a jill and they said got no jills, 130 ferrets and no jills plus a breeding program. people make me sick. Quote Link to post

Coneytrappr 30
White feet aren't worth more unless they're attached to a ferret who happens to be an exceptional worker. Too many people get wrapped up in this colour rubbish. Leave that to the fluffy brigade and peddlars. A ferret can be valued by it's willingness and ability to graft rabbits, not by whether or not it was born with 'cool' colours. Quote Link to post
