here's another one of mine, but this time it's a 3/8 bull 5/8 grey over another 3/8 bull 5/8 grey, if memory serves?

Good dog but got killed by a 70 kilo boar, bad considering he's dealt with many 100 kilo boars before the one who got him.

Find a dog DOING exactly what you want. . NOT what it should be doing. . If your happy with your bitch, then find a Stud doing what you expect your pups to do. .

My advice is ignore the pure greyhound advice. IMO you would be taking a step backwards. You would defo add more speed but it wouldnt be there for long. .

Id get a pup in, bred for the faster quarry.

 

Keep the bitch for putting to a proper bull lurcher, if shes that good, it would do her breeding the most justice.

Next year I am planning on breeding my First x bull grey bitch she is four year old now and has done everything I have asked of her she has ran doubled up with some of the best dogs up this neck of the woods and to my surprise she has made a fool of a lot of them, ok I have a laugh and joke with the owners of the dogs she has ran with and try and soften the blow with them on how a first x bull grey just made a fool of there champion bred lineage salukie lurchers it is all in jest but what I am always told by them are if that was in a massive open place like the fens then the outcome would of been different (but we are not on the fens) and probable never will be ! the only thing that I would change in this bitch is that I would give her one more gear so she can be there all the way on the more open ground that we hunt ! I would like to pass everything this bitch has onto her pups but with a extra gear !!!!! Any sugestions would be welcome ...............

 

I`me looking for a suitable bitch for my dog, my reasons are as a back up plan should my current pup not be up for it....

My dog is 25" 28kg 1/2 Whippet 1/4 Grey 1/4 Bull, He`s a decent day time dog with a good nose and is able to tackle whatever his nose will find

keep to bull grey using top stud dog, fractions dont matter so longs the dogs a good quality dog from tried and tested line . gift the pups out and see how they develop.

I,d put another first x bull/grey over her. The resulting pups are usually taller ..faster without losing any of bulls attributes...atb stabba

ive never seen a first x bull/grey that was racey enough to beat running dogs ..... especially champion bred ones at that , as you put it , and still do a half xs job , thats a very handy tool to have a dog that can be upside down in a hole one day working with terriers and coursing against salukis xs the next i think youve descovered the perfect allrounder .... atb

a mate of mine put a 1/4 bull grey over his half cross bitch and they were both proven to the extreme and that little turned out brilliant a few boys on here had one it just made them have plenty of lung and no reverse
