halamrose 24
Chaps, I bought a second hand scope with mounts for £15 which is great because I don't mind if I kill it trying to fix it. Anyhow the problem is the AO adjustment is way off which is particularly a problem at shot ranges where I cant get focus and PX at the same time. At longer ranges, when I adjust out PX fee at 45yds the scale reads 170yds. I'm guessing the cross hairs have moved due to use on a springer. Is there a book or web site I should read to learn how to fix this sort of thing? Cheers, Halam Quote Link to post
cunninghamb 2
If you can use it and shoot accurately with it as it is then leave it be and just use it. Mines reads 70yards when the true range is 25... still shoots bang on and holds its zero fine... If it doesn't bother you just leave it be Quote Link to post
halamrose 24
I see and kind of agree with you but I want to understand these things better. It seems normal to make all sorts of tweaks to a rifle but not to a scope - why is that? H Quote Link to post

Cheers, Halam Not that I know but the problem will be at the front lens. Try screwing the lens in and out and then readjusting with the AO ring until the focus / range matches John Quote Link to post
